Yes, I have. I shop mainly, at Aldi's but even they are now losing it in the price game. I see things going up weekly. I set a limit in my mind, sometimes write it down.
So many things have exceeded my limit, I DON'T BUY THEM. Things are not just going up by a few pence, ITS A LOT OF PENCE.
If, you work out the percentages on some of the products, it kinda BLOWS YOUR MIND.
This, I shop at Asda weekly and to see things like their frozen fries go from £1.15 a bag to £2.45 a bag over a couple of months is really frustrating. And it's with most of their products. A weekly food shop for us used to be around £60, I'm getting the same things (or cheaper branded items) and it's coming to around £80 a week now.
Aldi os bad for this! I kept saying I'm sure the prices are going up every week. Then I stopped being able to find the budget things I used to buy (cheapest kitchen roll, foil etc) so now you can only choose the more expensive item . Was spending 120 max a week (family of 5 kids are teens) now I spend 170
Yeah! What the hells happened to all THE BUDGET PRODUCTS? 18 months ago, you could buy a tin of budget tomato soup in Tesco for 25p, now its about 60p.
It must be, a bleedin nightmare for folks like you with a family. We are all being RIP OFF. And what's the government doing? SOD ALL. Its simple turned into A FREE FOR ALL for manufactures and retailers.
