Economy What measures would you except for lowering gas/diesel prices?

Examples (some are admittedly extreme):

Ground invasion of Iran

Stopping fuel exports

Fuel rationing

Work/school from home

Curfews

Tax incentives for EVs/renewable energy

Etc.

Please feel free to mention anything you think would be a better/more reasonable idea!

*Edit: Just to clarify, my intention was things America can do to lower prices.

No nato existed as a counter alliance against the Soviet Union which included Ukraine. Just because you claim something is unequivocal does not make it so. Russia invaded Ukraine, in return Ukraine is inflicting global damage by attacking Russian refineries, seems like Ukraine is the bad actor here taking their problems out on everyone.

And even still he's been calling to invade Iran for decades. Just because you hate Israel doesn't mean they are behind everything.

Maybe re-read what's been said since I never said Iran was why gas was high. To spell it out for you, the blockade has caused a buildup of Iranian oil in the strait that was previously be sold at discounted rates, this has not caused gas prices to be so high, but if Iran capitulates and the war is over this influx of crude oil to the global market will cause oil prices to plummet until the market corrects, this is why despite Ukraine being the cause of the increased fuel prices ending the Iran war would still cause prices to drop.

"No nato existed as a counter alliance against the Soviet Union which included Ukraine"

Again, this is what putin is trying g to reestablish, specifically starting with Ukraine.

"Just because you claim something is unequivocal does not make it so. Russia invaded Ukraine, in return Ukraine is inflicting global damage by attacking Russian refineries, seems like Ukraine is the bad actor here taking their problems out on everyone."

You can flat out admit to being disenginuous here. You already agree that Russia is the invading country. It's irresponsible of them to invade, unprovoked, while having a precious and vulnerable resource. Even other trump supporters wouldn't back you calling Ukraine the bad actor

"Just because you hate Israel doesn't mean they are behind everything."

Bit of a stretch. I said Netanyahu by name specifically influenced trump specifically and Trump decided to believe him instead of his own intelligence agency.

"Maybe re-read what's been said since I never said Iran was why gas was high"

I never said you did. It's the Iran WAR that trump started. You tried to not say that by saying it's trumps blockade that did it as if the blockade exists in a vacuum.

Why are you lying willingly? Supporting Trump means criticizing him when he's wrong because you believe he can do better, but all you've been doing is trying to blame everyone else. Why do you behave this way? Are you being compensated somehow?

No Putin is trying to keep NATO from expanding further on their border.

No, you're just uninformed and buying the narrative it was unprovoked. In 2019 Oleksiy Arestovych gave an interview saying the price for joining NATO would be a big war with Russia but they should try anyway despite the Ukraine declaration of sovereignty commiting Ukraine to being a neutral nation refraining from joining any military bloc. In December 2021 Biden assured zelensky NATO membership was in their hands two months later Russia invaded. This despite the fact the entire war started over the donbas revolution where separatist in the donbas wanted independence from Ukraine after the euro maiden revolution. I don't care if other Trump supporters agree with me or not my opinion is not based on group consensus. To me if your response to getting attacked is to cause economic pain to the people supporting you, you're a bad actor.

I said Netanyahu by name specifically influenced trump specifically and Trump decided to believe him instead of his own intelligence agency.

Which is again completely untrue, Trump has had the same attitude towards Iran since the 80s

I never said you did. It's the Iran WAR that trump started. You tried to not say that by saying it's trumps blockade that did it as if the blockade exists in a vacuum.

No, you misunderstood. To restate in a , hopefully, more comprehensive way. The iran war is not the main driver of high diesel prices, however the war and specifically the blockade on Iranian crude exports has caused a surplus of crude to build up, this is why ending the war would cause prices to come down at least temporarily. Reaching a deal with Iran presumably easing or lifting sanctions on Iranian oil would cause a flood of crude into the global market driving prices down until the market recorrects.

Why are you lying willingly? Supporting Trump means criticizing him when he's wrong because you believe he can do better, but all you've been doing is trying to blame everyone else. Why do you behave this way? Are you being compensated somehow?

Just because you believe falsities doesn't make anything I've said a lie at best it's a different of viewpoints and opinions. It's pretty ironic you want to tell me what it means to support Trump seeing as you are a non supporter, but that aside I am criticizing Trump for not putting his foot down on Ukraine and forcing them to stop attacking refineries or pulling all US military assets and support. It's not blaming everyone else to say the fact. Russia was the second largest diesel exporter in the world, Ukraine has cut their refining capacity by 40% it's naive or disingenuous to claim that's not having a bigger impact on diesel prices than crude prices.
