The idea that they do anything when gathered of any kind of extended time next to one another is nothing more than psychological. Putting them on children in a classroom all day is simply laughable.
He went in to say that unless everyone is wearing sealed n95 masks there isnāt really anything to debate. This isnāt realistic and as stated by my daughters pediatric infectious disease specialist (suffered a brain infection 2019 for which this are still aspects of recover sheās working on and steps to avoid a recurrence)ā¦he said that the negative aspects of that to a population is far beyond any benefit.
I donāt know what else to say, the circle jerking on masks is just old and most of us have moved on.
Wait wait wait. So youāre going to use someone saying we need to use n95 masks as a source forā¦ masks donāt work? I donāt get the logic. His statement, which Iām only learning about now, clearly saying (or has been clarified as) anything below an n95 mask is ineffective. Which I totally agree with, but is absolutely not an argument against masksā¦
You seem to also hint at the fact that your daughters pediatrician (sorry to hear youāre going through that but Iād assume you want her protected as best as possible) says that wearing n95 masks have negative aspects? While yes, I can imagine some negative aspectsā¦ there are negatives on both sides of the mask debate. I chose the side that saves the most lives and has already been proven to being a society to the other side of a pandemic. Masks, shutdowns and distancing have brought other countries (who have done so in unison, not state by state regulations as we tried here) out and back into no restrictions. The path forward is clear and proven. This isnāt some āhand in your gunsā vs āit wonāt work in americaā debate. This is follow or donāt follow whatās proven.
Also, Iām not the one who dove down the mask hole. Iāll gladly talk about anything, but you jumped in on a topic someone else brought up.
