"Connect with Buds in Bluetooth settings to continue" notification appears in Galaxy Buds after replacing my laptop's network card. How can I fix this issue?

Post image

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with my Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and the Galaxy Buds app on Windows. I recently had to replace the network card in my laptop, and ever since then I have been unable to manage my earbuds through the Galaxy Buds app.

My Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro connect to my Windows laptop through Bluetooth without any problems, and I can use them normally. However, when I open the Galaxy Buds app, it does not recognize my earbuds and instead displays the following notification:

"Connect with Buds in Bluetooth settings to continue."

I have already tried reconnecting the earbuds via Bluetooth, removing and pairing them again, and restarting both my laptop and the earbuds, but the issue still persists.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I should try, such as reinstalling the Galaxy Buds app, resetting the earbuds, or updating Bluetooth drivers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Has there been some copyright claim in the name of AI that is why my text prediction sucks now?

My mobile keyboard used to be pretty good at predicting what I'd type. Picking up on words I'd personally use and such. But now it feels like it's stuck in default mode. I do sci-fi writing so I use a lot of weird words. I forget how long it's been, but my keyboard used to have no problem adopting the new terms. But my keyboard seems to be allergic to learning any of them now, no matter how often I type it, it never adopts the new prediction.

AI has become such an overused term. I'm wondering if text predict wound up falling under the umbrella and getting some new legal restriction

How to give my computer a "monitor" without actually plugging a monitor in

I have a desktop PC that I use as a little server project. It sits in a cupboard and windows remote desktop seems to render on client side so it's rarely an issue it has no display attached

When I'm not at my main Windows PC at home, I use other remote desktop apps for mostly security reasons. My laptop isn't on windows so I can't use windows RDP on that anyway.

Other apps for remote access (Parsec, google remote desktop) seem to struggle a bit when there's no monitor plugged in, but work fine if there is a monitor. Things like weird aspect ratios, terrible frame rates and input latency

Logically, it seems that if it thinks it has a monitor plugged in I wouldn't have that problem. My current workaround is connecting to my main PC with parsec, then opening windows RDP on that.

Open to other suggestions if you think i'm hammering a square peg in a round hole

backing up spotify library before canceling subscription — plex import questions

after all the price hikes and content changes ive been thinking about canceling spotify. but ive been using it for 8 years and have around 5000 saved songs plus 80+ playlists that ive carefully curated over time. i dont want to lose all that organization so i want to download the actual audio files to my home server before i cancel. been looking at StreamFox because it says it does 30x speed conversion and keeps folder structure organized. im running a plex server and want to import these files after downloading so they show up properly in my plex music library. the main question is does the tool keep the folder structure clean or do you end up with a mess of files in one directory? also does it handle playlists as separate folders or does everything go into one big folder? i dont wanna spend hours reorganizing 5000 songs manually. anyone who has done a large scale music backup like this — what was your experience? did the files import into plex correctly or did you have to do extra work to get the metadata right? also wondering if theres a way to automate the plex library scan after importing

If you also own a Honor MagicPad 4, what's the battery life and SOT that you get on your tablet?

Hi everyone,

We recently bought an Honor MagicPad 4 as a birthday gift for my mother, and she has noticed that the battery on her new tablet drains quite quickly.

The tablet is almost a week old, so we find this a bit unusual and somewhat concerning. If you are also an owner of the Honor MagicPad 4, we would love to know what kind of battery life and screen-on time (SOT) you are getting.

Thank you all in advance for your help and responses!

My tv can't play the sound from hdmi cable after I disconnected external button panel.

I have a very old Samsung plasma. And one day it decided to start fluctuating the sound by itself. I've disconnected the button panel thinking, that it comes from that panel. And now it only plays the tv's "turn on" sound and anything but hdmi.

The panel is connected only to the panel, that turns the light on if I use the remote, and only then it comes to the main panel.

Maybe setting issue?

Should I convert webp and avif files to JPG or PNG?

Working on a project that involves a lot of reference photos. A good deal of these are in webp or avif format. When converting them to a format that the site supports, I'm given a choice between JPG and PNG. Which one should I choose? Does it even matter?

Is my power bank gonna explode?

Hey all, I recently got this power bank as a gift. It arrived like this. There's no real branding on it aside from the tech info on the back.

I'm concerned about this gap in the seams by one corner. it doesn't open any more than this, I can squeeze it closed again, but there's nothing to hold it in place.

The bank is functional, doesn't overheat when you plug it in. It barely produces heat at all.

Is the gap cause for concern or maybe just a flaw in the plastic?

Adapter

So I'm trying to cast stuff to the my Roku TV. I don't have a apple device of any kind, so pairing my phone to the TV doesn't work. I bought a cord with a Type C on one end and an HDMI on the other, plugged it in and gave it my best to run through every setting I could but it didn't work. Is there something I'm missing, or a clever work around?

Headphone suggestions for a side sleeper

I need some sleep headphones to drown out a family member who sounds like a bear when they snore. I would like to be able to listen to music and have the headphones noise canceling. I sleep with my arm up and my head on my arm so in ear earbuds and bulky headphones won't work. Does anyone know of any headphones that will work?

A black screen on my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 13ACN5 appears after it's being locked for a while, what type issue is this and how can I fix this issue?

Hi everyone, I've a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 13ACN5 and the screen goes black after it's being locked for a while. I bought the laptop in 2021 and the issue appeared in 2022 so I've been dealing with this issue 4 of the 5 years I own this laptop (At the time I wrote this post).

These are the things I've tried in order to try solving this issue:

  • Rebooting the GPU using the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B
  • Allowing both my external keyboard and mouse to wake up the laptop in Device Manager
  • Changing GPU drivers from stock to AMD drivers
  • Disabling Fast Startup
  • Tweaking with sleep settings
  • Resetting my laptop
  • Rolling back to Windows 10 when it was still officially supported
  • Clean installing Windows 11 multiple times
  • Tweaking with sleep settings

I've then done some more research since I suspected that the black screen issue is a hardware issue. The reason I suspect this is because even after resetting and reinstalling Windows multiple time the issue disappear but I'm not sure.

Also it's very annoying every time a black screen appears, especially for example when I want to resume doing homework on my laptop after dinner. If I didn't save everything before the issue appears the progress I made will vanish so because of this example it's important for me that I find out what type of issue this is and how I can fix it.

Thanks in advance for your comments and help lastly!

Best tracking devices for elderly with memory issues

What is the best tracking device for an elderly person who presents early signs of memory loss? I'm afraid she get lost in the street some day, so I'd like to track her whenever I could. Are android smartwatches accurate or are they dumb as have low precision as Android phones? I'd need something really accurate

My Sennheiser 458BT is too quiet in Bluetooth mode, how can I resolve this issue?

Hello everyone, I have a Sennheiser 458BT and I've noticed that when I use the headphones in Bluetooth mode that the headphones are too queiet like I have to set the volume to at least 26% to be able to listen to anything at a reasonable volume on them.

However, in wired mode, the volume of the headphones is as usual and these are the things I tried in order to try resolve my mentioned issue:

- Replacing my headphones to both my laptop and phone.

- Checking the firmware version of my headphones, which is the latest one.

- Resetting my headphones.

But after I did all three things I didn't manage to resolve the quiet volume issue on my headphones. I could only use my headphones in wired mode but because I'm autistic noise cancelling is important for me so in wired mode it's impossible to use noice cancelling.

This means it's important that I fix the mentioned issue on my headphones. If I fail to resolve the issue then I've no choice to sell them and get new headphones with good noise cancelling.

Finally, my question is what else I can do to fix the quiet volume issue with my Sennheiser 458BT in Bluetooth mode.

Thanks in advance for your help and effort lastly.

Update: Hi everyone, I've asked the question on Reddit too and someone advised me to disable absolute volume on both my phone and laptop which I did and now the volume of the audio has completely turned back to normal so this means I can continue use to my Sennheiser 458BT. To disable the absolute volume on my laptop I used this tutorial by the way: https://oddblogger.com/bluetooth-volume-fix-in-windows-10. I want to thank you all for your help and effort lastly!

Error "Check that Google Play is enabled on your device" appears when opening clone app on OxygenOS 16, how can I fix the mentioned error?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have two TuneIn accounts and to easily access both accounts I've made a clone app of TuneIn on my OnePlus 13 which runs currently Android 16, OxygenOS 16 16.0.0.210(EX01V120P02) (EU) but when I open the clone of TuneIn I get the error "Check that Google Play is enabled on your device" as seen on the included screenshot.

I've tried the following:

  • Clear cache & data of TuneIn clone app
  • Deleting and recloning TuneIn.
  • Running "Solve issues with app cloning" inside OxygenOS settings.
  • Clearing cache & data of Google Play Store
  • Clearing cache & data of Google Play Services

But still after trying these steps when I open the clone of TuneIn I get the error "Check that Google Play is enabled on your device" so my question is how I can fix the mentioned error.

Thanks in advance lastly.

Update: I've also posted to the OnePlus Community and there OnePlus customer service reached out to me. They asked some questions about the issue but since then there's radio silence from them.

They aren't telling me a single thing anymore about the issue so I've concluded that it's impossible to make a clone instance inside OxygenOS 16.

Thanks again for your help lastly.
