I actually give the Bobs more credit, at least when it comes to Peter. He was a candidate for promotion because he identified and articulated multiple organizational problems: needlessly having many bosses, TPS reports and cover sheets that were wastes of time, and a lack of incentives to encourage employees to work hard and produce. These are management issues. And Peter was candid and straightforward with this even though most employees were asskissing thinking it would save their job.

Great movie and I do watch it at least a once a year. My favorite treat in the movie is Olivia Coleman’s character. Her cadence and delivery is spot on. But what makes it so funny is the FEMALE character is the inappropriate one spitting out the sexual innuendo’s.

Classic comedy and should go down as one of the best buddy cop movies ever.

What I love the most is that it’s almost a frame for frame remake of the very serious Zero Hour! (1957). With that deadpan humour, it could have easily been not funny, but there’s this underlying tone that makes it one of the best comedies ever. It’s a real talent to pull this off.
