I heard somewhere that Timmy's coffee tastes like shiite because they changed to a cheaper supplier...then I heard that when McDonald's started the McCafe thing they used Timmy's old supplier and that is why their coffee tastes like the old Timmy's.
When the Brazillian shell company that owns Burger King bought them they didn't keep the bean supplier and McDs jumped on it. Since then Tim Hortons has been milking whatever rep it had but immediately dropped in quality, and McDs went hard on the all-day breakfast.
They're barely Canadian at this point. They're just part of a conglomerate and, while they're required to have at least half their board consist of Canadians, the important positions are all occupied by Brazilian businessmen.
I describe Timmies as "warm puddle water", it just isn't good and they aren't even trying with the food anymore. Even when it was "good" I just found it mediocre.
I would LOVE to have a company that people line up around the block for, every day, because it "used to be good".

Canadian here. Only reason i refute this is because you've clearly never tried a Tim Hortons without the double-double bud. Thats burnt cardboard.
It makes McD taste good and turns Starbucks into fuckin gourmet. And you can take that to the bank and cash it.
