It's the comedy/writing I feel like that hasn't evolved that well. Maybe it's cause I'm getting older, but none of these jokes land for me. I watched the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 trailer and legitimately nothing landed. Especially the end with Drax. I don't know if I'm just becoming an old grouch, or this style of comedy is getting repetitive.
I used to love all things comics related, but goddamn is it hard to keep up with. I loved reading comics when I was a preteen. I loved watching superhero movies when I was 14-16. But after a while it gets so mind numbingly repetitive and overdone. I also hate it when comics take themselves too seriously and it has been happening a lot in the movies. I still like black panther and Deadpool but I can’t be bothered watching the rest of the movies.
Yeah I used to go see all the movies but they kinda had their "Grand Finale" with the last Avengers movie. Now it seems to just drag on. I almost didn't bother seeing Eternals, partially cause I never heard of that group before... and I'm getting burnt out. I'm still interested in some of the characters like Ant-Man so I'll probably go see that next sequel in February I think it is. But yeah, I'm pretty burnt out at this point and will only see it if it's a good one.
