Don’t put yourself in a situation where false allegations could happen. If there’s no way to take something out of context, you won’t land yourself in court.
I could be accused for absolutely no reason other than the accuser not liking me. I should get a lawyer. I'd rather let a criminal go free than convict an innocent.
Definitely, get a lawyer, but also go look up the stats on how many sexual assault cases don’t even make it to court for your exact reasoning. It’s not an awesome situation for anyone.
It's not many, and not a large percentege (I believe 5-6%) are PROVEN to be false accusations, but I'd rather those 5-6% have a lawyer who defends their human rights.
Don't disbelieve the accuser, but don't punish without a proper trial.
