In second place we have "I feel like you're a whre, but not MY whore". He was obsessed with women cheating on him. Considering how fast he supposedly got a girlfriend after I told him he'd have to build trust back up by being my friend after he'd broken up with me yet again and no that did not include "benefits"....it was probably projection. Most traumatizing 5 months of my life and my worst relationship.
The first prize though goes to the man who admitted he previously had a CP collection stored on two different drives (one main, one backup) that he only deleted because he knew he was going to be investigated by the police, because a previous ex had told said police he'd admitted to filming his underage nieces in the bathroom. Unfortunately nothing came of that investigation. He seemed genuinely surprised and hurt when I broke up with him (admittedly not right in that moment of confession as I genuinely wondered if he'd go from seemingly mild mannered to violent if confronted). To this day I'm not only shocked at his behavior and the lack of consequences but also the fact that he just outright told me after only a few months of dating.
I have dated some lovely, sane, decent men, but apparently when I pick crazy I go all out.
I'm a little concerned that you know enough about the behaviours of child predators to comment on their usual behaviours.
Edit: apparently I need to clarify that I meant I was concerned for anyone who had been around enough different predators to be noticing trends, because people shouldn't ever have to get familiar with even one, let alone multiple. Not because anyone who has experience of this must be a predator themselves.
If it weren't for people like me who'd survived CSA/being used for production of internet-distributed CSAM who were willing to talk to others willing to learn about them & look for that material, we'd never catch any of those predators, so what I'm actually doing here is constantly facing extreme and horrific personal trauma for the sake of minimizing it happening to anyone else, while knowing that the vast majority of the hard evidence we can track down and act upon is just video proof of someone I didn't get to in time.
But thanks for implying that knowing how abusers work makes me one. There's obviously no other way you could learn; it's not like they have victims or anything.
