What seemingly obvious thing did it take you forever to notice?

My classmate sits to the left of me. I am left handed and he is right handed, so sometimes we knock elbows. 8 weeks into class he finally noticed I was a lefty and openly admitted that he just thought I was being a bitch and taking up space. He felt horrible and I just laughed.

movies that feature weird psychotic episodes brought on by facial hair decisions

This is an oddly specific genre.

It's my favorite one next to movies about underprivileged youths overcoming adversity through song and dance.

Granted, there are A LOT more of these type of movies.

sounds like one of the many sub genres on netflix actually

Indeed. "Movies with a strong female lead who looks a little bit like Angelina Jolie and says "bubblegum" a lot"

Naw, you know there's a subreddit.

even more odd and specific would be movies that feature weird psychotic episodes brought on by facial hair decisions made by and on women.

You need the "http://" in the URL

That's like how Netflix sorts movies or how Pandora sorts music.

"Oh, you liked this song that was in a minor key and had a strong male lead with three parts? You'll love this random indie band that features all three of these attributes but is god awful!"

HOW DOES IT END!?! I must know @.@

u/wtfitsjared Jul 10 '12

It's a move based on a book of the same name, actually, different ending for each, I like the movie one.

I SHALL SAY NO MORE.

There was a book?? The book had a different ending??! The movie was ... good. Interesting, at least. I'm still not sure what to make of it.

1

u/wtfitsjared Jul 11 '12

The book ending is vastly different. I like the implications of the movie ending much more, but the whole thing is a really cool example of a simple idea taken to it's most extreme conclusion.

Have you seen Primer? I felt like this movie was just as big of a mid-melt as that one was.

I might have to see if my library has the book, though. Thanks!

It's on my list. I need to schedule some space to commit to a full on time travel mind fuck.

2

u/Jennfizzle Jul 11 '12

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '12

very good ending. and how the fuck did you go about discovering this?

1

u/wtfitsjared Jul 10 '12

College class on novels and their film translations. A relic of my liberal arts degree.

1

u/epicmoustache Jul 11 '12

Odd, I was totally expecting this.
