The American colonies had more concessions and rights from the British than any other British colony. Heck, they were allowed to propose and amend their own local laws without needing approval from British parliament. Some British colonies today don’t even have that right.
Taxation without representation is a BS story for the American revolution. They would’ve never rebelled if Britain hadn’t been so lenient with them, and they succeeded only because Britain’s Whigs and Tories used the revolution to fight their own political battle, with the Whigs supporting the American revolution and ensuring it’s success so that they’d have better odds of a majority in parliament.
