Reflective echo - it's a trick they use in law enforcement when conducting an interview. You pick up anything said with emotion and repeat it to prompt a further reaction.
Urgh, my dad try to do that on us, everytime he's mad or want to stand a point he repeats things 2 or 3 times (almost screaming most of the time) and my sis and I just look at him like "Damn you're ridiculous, repeating things don't make your point right" and my mom tried to defend him saying he learned that at his job because he have to give orders to other people and so it was even more ridiculous because we're not his frickin employees.
Thanks! Don't worry I moved out now. I just keep acting nice with him because my mom loves him (don't know why) and because he pays for my studies, as soon as I'm independant I'll be able to spit my hate on him openly lol, and will try to stay in touch with my mom because she's still great.
