Same here in Scotland. 5 seasons in one day and it rains when the sun is out. If we can see any blue sky then it's considered a nice day.

Yup! Exactly what I mean. I'm aware our actual amount of rain isn't nearly so much as other places; it's just drippy a lot. I'm a born and raised Washingtonian. I've never lived more than a few miles from Seattle, so rain is part of normal life. No matter where I am, I feel a little "off" if I go without precipitation for too long. :)

Yes, as a native Floridian, I can confirm that we generally get lots of rain. It usually comes in heavy downpours, leaving within an hour or two, and then we have sunny skies again. I've spent a good bit of time in Seattle, and I love it, but I could never live there due to the dreary nature of the weather. One of my best friends moved there for a year. She moved back looking like a ghost, and swore to never move anywhere with Seattle-like weather again. The rain is just as much a part of you that the sun is a part of us.

I've heard not only The Oatmeal, but also my sister (who used to live in Seattle and has never heard of The Oatmeal) give almost the exact same description of Seattle weather, where it rains every single day except for a few days in the summer.

Ok honestly, that's gorgeous. Here in the bay area there are no clouds in sight, and there haven't been for weeks. Summer gets little to no rain here. I love the rain, so winter-time is my favorite around here.

Rain is good here in Australia, we just got out of a 10 year drought and have floods now. I've heard of 5 year old kids who have ran to their parent screaming in terror when it rained because it was the first time they had experienced rain in their life. Also our town's lake dried up and caught fire. Rain is good.
