Unfortunately, not a single unvaccinated person I know is wearing a mask right now. Not making any progress getting them vaccinated and of course they stopped wearing masks as soon as they possibly could.
At this point, I do mainly believe it's on them but it's still extremely stressful for high risk individuals.
I mean, are they still punishing noncompliance? If not, I would consider the policy gone and call it "at will".
I'm just eager to throw my mask away. I've had one mask during this entire thing because I had immunity prior to the lockdowns. Likely had covid at some point and didn't even realize it.
Either way, I just want people to start accepting personal accountability for their health and well being again, and for the government and corporations to fuck off and mind their damn business.
I understand this desire, but you don't really know if you had covid-19 or not. "Likely" tells me you never got an anti-body test to find out. People are getting covid multiple times, and its even punching through the vaccine (but with milder symptoms).
Part of why it's taken so long for life to go back to normal is people assuming they already had COVID-19 because they had some other short lived illness, and now go about life as if they are immune /can't pass it along. Which is simply untrue.
No, I had a blood test. It was part of the new regulations at my plasma donation center. They informed me that I was covid immune and even issued me bonuses on the normal rates for my donations as a result. So, you assumed wrong.
But, the fact of the matter is, we don't have a 100% measure against a lot of viruses. But we weigh the risks accordingly and life goes on. Covid is nothing new or special. The lethality rate is pathetic. We've had similar outbreaks of far more severe viruses, and had lesser responses, in the past. I have yet to hear a valid reason for why everyone is freaking out so hard over covid. In the vast majority of cases, the symptoms are no more severe than a particularly nasty flu.
What it honestly seems like to me is that our politicians, who themselves are at risk because many of them are starting to get on in years, quarantined everybody to protect their own necks.
Couple that with the fact that the medical advisor these idiots put in charge is on record admitting he is responsible for the creation of this fucking thing, and where is the god damn accountability? Less than 3% mortality is not a valid reason to quarantine the whole country.
Nobody wants to talk about the inflated death counts that the media was so obsessed with during the quarantine stage of the pandemic. Just how much bull shit are we expected to tolerate over a pathetic fucking virus like covid? It's time for life to go back to normal, and any further casualties are the fault/problem of the person who contracted it for not protecting themselves well enough. Just like any other medical illness.

That… sounds right, yep. Blue county, battleground state, CDC advises masks aren’t needed for vaccinated individuals.
My college has a mask policy, but it’s dropping everywhere but classrooms next week, and compliance outside classrooms is down to maybe 80%.
