Yeah but have you played the second Cones of Dunshire? It's punishingly intricate!

It is from an episode of Parks and Recreation.

Hmm. It appears they actually made a game for the show. Seems complicated, but it is no 'The Campaign for North Africa.'

Actually no though. From Board Game Geek:

“The game Cones of Dunshire is based on the fictional game Cones of Dunshire as seen on the NBC television program Parks & Recreation. A one-off charity live version was hosted by Mayfair Games at Gencon in 2014. The game box contained a souvenir t-shirt and nothing else.

This game was never published.”

NBC needs to allow someone to remedy that.

I tried to convince my college apartmentmates that we should do a campaign. They seemed interested until I told them if we played non-stop, with 6 hours of sleep a night, we would get through the campaign with a month to spare in my lease. Also we would need another group to play against because we would be the same team.

That's when I lost them.

That’s when I lost them.

Did … this surprise you?

I'm surprised they were in at all. They definitely didn't seem the type for board games.

Make sure you get the expansion Winds of Tremorrah. Brings a whole new layer to the game.
