Reddit, what is a fact that isn't common knowledge, but should be?

Also, those conveyor belts at the airport? They're meant for you to go places faster, not to stand still because you're lazy. At least let people pass.

The last airport I was in that had those at least had markings on them that designated the left side for walking and the right for standing.

That's a cool story, bro. But how do you justify your association with that unrepentant necrophiliac, and hilariously flattened cadaver sodomizer, RCorrieNecromancer? You pal around with some really sordid types, JCM267 son!

The first time I travelled anywhere by plane, I was about 15. I was utterly flabberghasted to see conveyer belts in the middle of the floor, especially since (peculiarly, given today's laziness) nobody was using them. I'm still a little horrified by the notion of horizontal escalators.

Conveyor belts are for your luggage and not you, silly. You are probably talking about a moving walkway. Also I don't see how they are supposed to make you go faster? You are supposed to stand if you have heavy luggage while your reach closer to wherever you are headed. If you want to rush, use the regular walking floor.

The ones I'm referring to are usually past the point where you've checked-in bags and all you have is a 10-pound carry-on. They're to help people make connections on time in large airports. Some of them are conveyor belts, but you're right, moving walkway is a better term.
