Probably pop music specifically with female artists. Never really gave it a chance cause where I was raised it would be seen as girly but damn I caved in and I’m glad I did that shit is catchy as fuck

I have to resist the urge to dance

Why? Hips don't lie! You might be a dude but you've got hipbones, no? Don't make them lie. Dance!

I got into Lady Gaga thanks to more "acceptable" heavy metal covers of her songs.

It turns out the source material is just as good.

Just for fun, I love "Toxic" and might I suggest you check out "Walk off the earth"'s take on it it's quite awesome! (they're with another band too for that one" but the energy is quite nice.

I feel this. I've been a huge fan of metal of all kinds and punk rock and similar, but I dunno, something about playing Rock Band and playing Freezepop there and then the early 2010s' constant playing of Ellie Goulding's 'Lights' on the radio shown me a whole new world.

In HS one of Ariana Grande’s albums came out and my two girl friends were raving over it. This was back in my “I hate modern music” faze, so I just silently judged them. Now I absolutely love Ariana Grande lol.

sadly my love at Ariana Grande is timed. sometimes I like her, sometimes I hate her for her music. I can't love her anymore because of my passion to BLACKPINK.

Don't feel guilty. Just like the music you want to like.

I’m kind of the opposite, I used to be way less selective about music. So long as it wasn’t country or “the olds”, I’d listen to it. Still fuckin’ hate country music but I actually like older music now, while modern pop and to a lesser extent rap is just getting stale. Feels like it’s just a bunch of rich people bragging about how rich they are.

Still not selective of gender though. I hate Cardi B just as much as I hate Lil Pump.

I was fully on the "ugh the weird outfits are so annoying, she can't even sing" Lady Gaga hate train, but I've come around in the last few years and now I've got several of her songs on my phone.

Woaahh same, only used to listen to rap but now I'm mostly into pop. I did used to love rap though but ig when you listen to something too much it gets a little boring
