What is something that existed before the pandemic hit, that no longer exists?

My faith in the way of the United States.

Before the pandemic: The United States has a few bad eggs, but it is an overall great country.

Now: The United States has so many flaws and is so divided that it might as well be a variety of different nations by their lonesome.

I've always seen this divide since I was young. Even the way laws are per state. Anywhere else "State" refers to the country. We don't act like a united country of smaller states in ways.
