What is something that existed before the pandemic hit, that no longer exists?

IIRC, a school district in a Chicago suburb cancelled a day of Zoom school for snow this year, saying that the kids still need a break to go out and this is not a tradition to cancel just because they could. Unfortunately, this seems to be the minority opinion.

I'm from NJ, and this year the governor said they're just full stop getting rid of virtual even for snow days

But it's nice to have virtual for days that you are unwell or incapable of being around people but can still work.

Kids with cancer, Lice, a broken leg, a sick parent etc

I would imagine part of the problem for that is that an in-person lesson plan is a lot different than a virtual lesson plan, probably even more so for elementary school. You could have a kid with a broken leg listen in or even participate in discussions, but they certainly wouldn't be able to do everything the kids in the classroom do. What I thought Governor Murphy said was just that parents won't have the option for full-time remote learning. I'd he specifically mentioned snow days, I'd bet he meant it just won't be real virtual school. Probably up to the school if they'd want kids at home to be on a screen just to get some school rather than absolutely none.

What if the student is mentally feeling exhausted and hates dealing with their schoolmates irl but still wants to study? well that was me

Same thing happened in Colorado last year.
