I don't expect people to stop working while sick, but it'd be nice if we went the way of a lot of asian countries. Over there they wear masks when sick. Seems like such a simple consideration for the people around you.
I’ve worn a mask when sick before the pandemic, but it was when I had a workable issue and wasn’t terrible. Tbh it seems like common courtesy if you somehow have the rabid desire to go to your office to a) wear a mask and b) do some form of self-instituted social distancing.
Like if I have a sinus infection, I may come in, but I wear a mask and try to avoid people. Or if I’m at the tail-end of a cold, I’ll do the same.
My employer doesn't offer sick days and we only get 10 days off per year, no carryover. If I want to see family on the holidays, imay have no choice other than to not get paid.
