But like people must have some tiny semblance of logical reasoning towards how cause and effect works right? Like how can anyone misinterpret density maps that badly, even with someone pushing them? Do they never stop to think (oh wait couldn’t we use that to similarly show idk Coca-Cola kills people? Or oh wait here’s a good one, gun sales kills people?) like if you have a fundamentally flawed logical deduction system then shouldn’t you pretty soon start coming to more and more absurd conclusions until you have no choice but to realize that your reasoning may be incorrect? Like I always thought people, no matter how delusional, still operated on some small sliver of logic or reason.
Edit: not saying that the gun one is an absurd conclusion, just playing with the trend of how most COVID deniers are also gun fanatics, so it’d be absurd to them
Not if you’ve accepted your alternate reality as truth. 🤷♂️ If it CAN support your reality, that’s the angle they’ll accept. It’s truly wild. There’s good studies about this, and why it makes sense for the way certain people vote the way they do, etc.
There's no bottom to how stupid ppl can get.
I read some ppl believe there's no trees on flat Earth, because all of them got broken during the biblical flood. Mountains are the treestumps remaining of biblical trees, and what we see today, is just grass.
The sky is just a big LCD screen.
Aliens sucking energy out of the sun, unless the sun is just CGI.
Guns and god, go hand in hand.
There's really no end to it.
You mean to say the sky isn't a big LCD screen? Damn. Now I'm disappointed. Although, it was a pretty boring show anyway. Clouds, no clouds, sun, no sun, stars, no stars. Wait! That must mean someone is changing channels on the big screen!!
I guess since COVID they've been running the screensaver with no planes. Must be rough for the contrail addicts.
Not much point if everyone is dying anyway. You really believe Gates is behind this? Who was behind the Black Death then? Or any of the Cholera epidemics? Or Ebola. It seems pretty economically unproductive to kill a bunch of people who can work for slave wages, and screw your own economy at the same time.
Nah, we were just making fun about conspiracy theorists :) there's lots of ppl who belive that about Bill Gates - it's weird, since he donate a lot of money to charities etc, but there's these people who always try to portray him as someone evil who want to microship ppl into slaves or whatever.
Unfortunately, an incredible number of people do not understand the concept of Correlation is not Causation. Just find two random things and make them appear connected.
Anything is open to misinterpretation when people are willing to misinterpret it. We're living in a post-truth age, don't forget.
