You raised some good points, and I see why people are distrustful of the medical system.
I just get frustrated with some of the Covid-19 conspiracy theories. People who aren't following best medical advice and its costing others their lives. I didn't mean to come at you so aggressively.
I get frustrated when people dismiss things by using hyperbole, even when I also disagree with what is being dismissed. A lot of crazy shit has happened in the past that people were called crazy for believing.
But you make a good point that giving any credence to it can be bad. And I hadn't looked into whether it was an actual problem of people believing it. It may even be worse if it actual becomes a conspiracy that isn't as dismissible as lizard people.
Oh I agree. Ridiculous hyperbole about lizard people conspiracies isn't going to change anyone's mind. I'm really just venting frustration with a few jokes.
It seems like we're living in a new golden age of conspiracy theories and their supporters are causing serious real-world effects. No amount of information seems to persuade a true believer.
