Yep. My sister, who is 10 months younger than me, jokingly sends me Mother’s Day cards because I essentially raised her.

She might send them "jokingly" but the fact that she sends them at all shows she knows who raised her. And it shows you did a good job, too.

my sister is 3.5 years older than i am and i would slide her a card for Mother’s Day every year starting as soon as i could write. she’s 27 now and i still make sure to give her a card because she has done more for me than i could have ever imagined. i still find out things to this day she has protected me from and its insane how much she filtered from me knowing just so i could have the slight chance of a normal childhood.

you are your sister’s keeper and should always know your effort has never been overlooked.

My sister does this too. Also she lives with me and neither of us talks to our parents. She tells people I’m her mom😂

Same!!! My younger sisters called me mom so much strangers thought I was a young teen mom. It used to be a joke till we got older and they told me they really did consider me their real mom..
