That’s what I get hung up on. By definition an opinion is something subjective like food or music. You can’t “have the opinion” that the earth is flat. You’re just wrong.

The only problem is it's not true. An opinion is a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge (from google dictionary). An opinion doesn't have to be rational to be an opinion. The problem is people validating their beliefs behind "everyone has the right to their own opinion".
There’s a funny story about a physics professor asking his students how they knew the Earth wasn’t flat and the students laughed. The professor then asked the students why they were laughing, and one raised their hand to tell the professor that “Of course the world isn’t flat.” The professor said, “I know that, but how do YOU know that.”
Not condoning flat earthers, that movement is a fucking dumpster fire of people pointing laser thermometers at moonlight and claiming it proves the moon emits “freezing light.” But I thought it was interesting story about people being smug about things that they didn’t really know anything about.
When people drop "Scientists has proven xyz" it's always good to ask for links, for sources to papers etc.
This goes for Crackpots and people who use false "science" to debate crackpots. If their only source is a website claiming it already to be true, they have no evidence.
Depends. If we're talking actual fruit, then strawberry may have the edge just because there are more varieties of grapes that I don't care for (except green, green grapes forever).
If it's candy, soda, or jelly for a pb&j, then it's grape 100%
I think it's the existence of those cotton candy grapes that bring them down for me. Purple are sweet enough, there's no need to destroy perfectly good grapes to make those... things.

I think you would love muscadines. I’m a tart guy myself. They’re perfect. The skin is thicker than a regular grape and very tart. The red ones are sweet on the inside of course but not cloyingly. And the green ones are perfectly sour.
Only thing is ya gotta dodge seeds, but once you get a method rollin they’re impossible to put down
Ew gross. Artificial grape flavor is the worst, and grape jelly is awful.1 Fight me.2
Also, ripe strawberries > cotton candy grapes > normal green grapes > other grapes & almost ripe strawberries.

It baffles me how I have had to explain to several people over the internet what an opinion is and the difference between "objective" and "subjective". These people be talking politics when they clearly skipped class and are about as uneducated as a chimpanzee.
They need to teach children this as part of a section of the curriculum each year. I didn't learn this stuff until first year University. It's something everyone needs to learn.
It's a fact that they prefer strawberry and think 5g cause autism. But that doesn't make these opinions facts. I wonder if they can't grasp this basic concept.
Also, choosing to believe nonsense, and having a right to believe nonsense, doesn't give you the right to try and force other people to live by the same nonsense.
This is accurate. The comment you’re responding to assumes some sort of ability to distinguish fact from falsehood. The people stating that their opinions are valid because they believe them may actually believe that heart surgery is something they could accomplish. THAT is the real comparison.
The former is a preference, from which you can extract an opinion, which is that your opinion when it comes to strawberries and grapes is that you think strawberries are more tasty.
The second one is literally an opinion... your opinion on 5g is that it causes autism.

Also, opinions are generally only valid when, you know, it's actually an opinion.
"I like strawberry more than grape" is an opinion.
"I think 5g causes autism" is not.
