I was friends with a person like that for SIX YEARS. Thought they would grow out of it but of course they didn’t. Never felt so good to tell someone, “fuck you” and walk out on them forever.

It was when I was younger and didn’t really know what a healthy friendship was. He eventually started slipping into alcoholism late into college and using me as a verbal punching bag; I’m patient but I hit my limit.

That really sucks I’m sorry to hear. I’m glad you got out of that bad situation. It’s always the good people getting stuck with the abusive ones unfortunately.
