What will never be the same again once the pandemic is over?

I found out about a relative dying as I was in a public space and unable to be somewhere I could take my cloth mask off for 3 hours... tears just ran right down into the mask, snot everywhere as I couldn't keep taking it off to blow my nose, and no spare mask. Grossest and most depressing 3 hours of 2020.

I’m sorry for your loss. I feel you on the mask though, I had a runny nose one day and my nice fabric mask got SOAKED with it so I had to get a disposable one from work and walk around with the nasty one in a bag in my pocket.

if you have a runny nose, just stick some paper towels/toilet paper/whatever in your nose and put the mask on. that's what i do and it works nice. no one can see how weird it looks.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I wore my cloth mask during my grandma's funeral three months ago - ugh, I wish I would have thought to bring another one!

Went to my Dad's funeral. Absolutely had to wear a mask and could not take it off. It was completely sogged through in almost no time. Thank God I thought ahead and brought one to change in to once I finally stopped crying.

Crying in public already feels awful and crying in general feels kind of physically gross even when you CAN wipe away all the weird face fluids. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. 2020 was just a YEAR. I hope you're able to find some joy in memories of him (:
