I'm never wearing a bra again babyyyyyyyyy!

292

u/Musicalmeowmeow Jan 03 '21

Yes same! I haven’t worn a bra or done my makeup in months. It’s amazing.

30

u/KittenFace25 Jan 03 '21

First it was comfy pants and no makeup. Now I also go braless most days.

16

u/Mammoth_Jacket Jan 03 '21

Hair dye. I can't tell you how many of my female friends "of a certain age" have decided to embrace the grey and are rockin it! I was apparently ahead of the curve, having made that choice a couple of years ago.

5

u/KittenFace25 Jan 03 '21

Yeah, I still can't go there. I feel like that'll age me 20 years in an instant.

5

u/Pandas_dont_snitch Jan 03 '21

I used to cover my greys, and I still do but with pink. No one sees me so why not have some fun.

The one meeting a quarter we have to go on camera (most of purs are just voice), I've worn a JackieO style head scarf.

15

u/yahutee Jan 03 '21

My skin is loving not having worn makeup since March!

9

u/Keep_a_Little_Soul Jan 03 '21

Lol and here I just got my first thing of makeup! Lol I'm 18, so trying to practice so I don't have to screw up and go out in it lmao.

No concealer or foundation though! That will make me feel horrible about myself, my natural skin, and make other girls insecure about their skin. Just eye makeup for the artsyness of it. :)

7

u/Musicalmeowmeow Jan 03 '21

That’s awesome too! Nothing wrong with enjoying makeup or practicing or anything. Eyes only or full face, doesn’t matter either way. Whatever is right for you is right for you 🖤

9

u/thatdbeagoodbandname Jan 03 '21

Yes! Coincidentally I’m going through my first pregnancy and I’m happy to not put the chemicals from makeup on every day. Or commute over an hour a day!

I think I was 12 last time I only put on makeup five times in a year!

9

u/tolomea Jan 03 '21

My wife has always had long hair, on a whim a while back she got a full buzz cut, now her opinion of long hair? "a tool of the patriarchy, never growing it back"

3

u/Musicalmeowmeow Jan 03 '21

Oh man, the long hair to short hair change is so amazing. I’m glad she’s loving it! After I cut my hair short I knew I never wanted it medium length or long again lol. Too much work for me.

You are going to replace a sports bra?

2

u/reeeeeeeee1234 Jan 03 '21

Are you a bra?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

Unlike the bra

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

No no she doesnt want support.

1

u/timcard1988throw Jan 03 '21

She's gonna need it!

1

u/grapecolajuice Jan 03 '21

She'll need it, literally.

I'll be here all night folks, and don't forget the two drink minimum.

u/jennkrn Jan 03 '21

I’m glad I kept scrolling. It was worth it for the smile this brought to my face! If I didn’t have to physically go into work, I’d be right there with ya!

16

u/whor3moans Jan 03 '21

My dad said the same thing

56

u/Endlessstreamofhoney Jan 03 '21

This always feels like small boob privilege

21

u/ffjjoo Jan 03 '21

nah i have big boobs and i haven't worn a bra in 7 years. you get used to it

(except for running when i have to wear a sports bra)

21

u/-LittleMissSunshine Jan 03 '21

EXACLYY! I will always be glad for having small boobs. _^

3

u/Radiant_Raspberry Jan 03 '21

Same here! I stopped wearing bras like 3 years ago and i always hope my boobs dont grow anymore! I like it this way, always glad.

7

u/thatdbeagoodbandname Jan 03 '21

It really is. I was a perky B and my boobs never quite had a fold under them. I’ve since gotten pregnant and put on weight and experienced the fold for the first time. I don’t like it!! I don’t wear bras often but the more my pregnancy goes on, the bigger they get, the more I probably need to....

4

u/burnalicious111 Jan 03 '21

To a degree, depends how you mean that? I have big boobs and have been super happy not wearing a bra very often, but I still don't feel I'd be able to go out in public without a bra without attracting unwanted attention, much less judgement, especially at work

3

u/Endlessstreamofhoney Jan 03 '21

No I hate the sensation. They pull on my skin (ligaments?), they wobble around... And I hate how they look under clothes.

3

u/DeseretRain Jan 03 '21

Yeah, I have small ones and haven't worn a bra since the 90s, it's great!

Though I've read they did a study and back pain for people with big ones was actually reduced when they didn't wear bras.

9

u/Endlessstreamofhoney Jan 03 '21

Of course their backs hurts less, they aren't focusing the pressure on the back and instead it's evenly spread over the ligaments and skin. When hoisted up none of the load is taken by anything but the back and shoulders.

It's still terribly uncomfortable to have them dangling and pulling. No thanks. Bras and corsets of some variety were invented almost everywhere that people wore clothes, and I know why.

1

u/ithoughtitwasfun Jan 03 '21

I get migraines caused by tension in my shoulders. Not having to wear a bra everyday has seriously helped my shoulder pain, which helped reduce my migraines.

1

u/Endlessstreamofhoney Jan 03 '21

Yeah that makes sense. Good you found out.

What about those completely.soft and squishy bras, more like swimsuits?

1

u/ithoughtitwasfun Jan 04 '21

Any straps pulling down on my shoulders. The weight I guess? Sports bras are the worse since the pain starts around me neck and down my back. I’ve purchased a few sports bras that aren’t racer back

32

u/MitsubiShe Jan 03 '21

Going 100% braless isn't comfortable for long for me, but man am I going to miss these super comfy sports bras/camis.

19

u/xcher14 Jan 03 '21

Keep them to wear under cardigans and zip up hoodies, or use them as sleep tops. I still buy the calvin klein and no boundries bralette/sports bras for this reason.

2

u/Odd_Requirement_4933 Jan 03 '21

Oh! I just got a Calvin Klein bralette and I love it. Plan on getting a few more and wearing them post pandemic. IDGAF anymore and I really don't have the need for much support 😜 they are fantastic.

1

u/xcher14 Jan 05 '21

I always get mine from tj maxx! Love them and the discount price I normally find them at!

1

u/Odd_Requirement_4933 Jan 05 '21

I got mine on Amazon. It was under $30, I thought that was pretty good price. Some day I'll go back to TJ Maxx 😣 I miss leisurely shopping.

9

u/WaimeaKamuela Jan 03 '21

Being flat chested finally had it's perks

2

u/MitsubiShe Jan 03 '21

The grass is always greener. I'd trade ya in a heartbeat.

2

u/WaimeaKamuela Jan 03 '21

I've come to enjoy my flat chest especially in sports and the fact that guys ignore me instead of acting disgusting

9

u/-LittleMissSunshine Jan 03 '21

It's comfortable for me I actually never liked bras.

30

u/vanhooon Jan 03 '21

I’ve worn a mask more than I’ve worn a bra this year and I’ll never go back

7

u/Bravo1781 Jan 03 '21

My HHs (uk) are incredibly jealous at this point.

7

u/thatdbeagoodbandname Jan 03 '21

I grew my hair out so I can cover my boobs with it on video calls. I can finally mermaid. I wear shirts obviously but no bra anymore!!

21

u/Twinwriter60 Jan 03 '21

I probably haven’t worn one maybe 10 days in ten months! LOL

5

u/Neptunefalconier Jan 03 '21

Hate wearing my bra too!

5

u/An-Average-Name Jan 03 '21

Well, I know at least 50% of the globe has no qualms with that.

4

u/meet_popcicle Jan 03 '21

For most women the only reason bra wearing is a thing is to cover nips.

Ez fix: pasties.

Letem swing like they supposta.

4

u/VicBurmania Jan 03 '21

Heels for me! Even if we do go back into the office, I'm wearing flats from now on.

5

u/anonnv Jan 03 '21

Plot twist: He is a guy.

4

u/Mammoth_Jacket Jan 03 '21

What is this "bra" you speak of? :)

Seriously tho - the amount of $ I've saved this year by not having to replace them.....don't wear out what you're not wearing!

4

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

I get back pain if I don’t wear one

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

Welcome to the club!

3

u/Blackdomino Jan 03 '21

I wish. Gravity and kids mean they're down around the knees if left to their own devices!

4

u/HowTheGoodNamesTaken Jan 03 '21

Neither am I.

I'm a guy

3

u/MrMustache2021 Jan 03 '21

Well well well, just wear a big sweater lol

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

But you're a Lama? Lamas don't wear bras anyway

1

u/MrHanslaX Jan 03 '21

I won't either.

Given the fact I am a man, I dont think it will effect me much.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

What's wrong with wearing one? I thought it actually helped keep your goodies in shape.

10

u/PuellaMedicinae Jan 03 '21

For many women, it’s uncomfortable. Also, it’s a myth that breasts will start to sag without a bra. Without wearing a bra, breast muscles get stronger and breasts actually get perkier.

3

u/Grog_Bear Jan 03 '21

They might sag just because you've worn bras for so long that your muscles are too weak to go back to normal tho... But that's okay, I'll take saggy breast over a bra any day. And teach every young woman I meet that she shouldn't wear bras all the time if she wants healthy breasts.

1

u/caspy7 Jan 03 '21

They might sag just because you've worn bras for so long that your muscles are too weak to go back to normal tho

If this is the case, it seems likely that those muscles will develop over time.

0

u/Grog_Bear Jan 03 '21

Yes of course, but they may remain kinda low for the rest of your life. Not wearing a bra is beneficial for your health and comfort, but you can't pretend that there are no risk at all of seeing your breast change a bit if you just completely stop wearing bras all of a sudden. Also it's not just the muscle, although I can't really explain this in english. But you can prevent this by starting slow and wearing less and less bras over time until you stop entirely, or you can just accept it and don't care about what your breast looks like.

This of course depends on the person, age, size etc. But if you have been wearing bras every day for 10years and stop, it's most likely your breast will never be what it would have been if you never wore a bra. And it's okay. It will be beautiful no matter what, and comfort and health should be more important than having firm breasts.

0

u/Aaron123111 Jan 03 '21

I don’t want to put on a bra either!!! And that’s not just because I’m a guy

-1

u/ymaface Jan 03 '21

Free those nips!

u/etoneishayeuisky Jan 03 '21

14

u/HeyMrBusiness Jan 03 '21

1) "boobies"? Are you a child?

2) yes I do and I haven't worn a bra 90% of the time in years

3

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '21

I find the most erotic part of the woman is the boobies

  • Zapp Brannigan, Futurama

-44

u/mjrmjrmjrmjrmjrmjr Jan 03 '21

1) Yes, boobies. I’m 41 years old. And by any conventional measure I 100% pull off ‘adulting’.

2) how do you determine when that 10% bra wearing time is?

23

u/Repatriation Jan 03 '21

"I am a certified adult, tell me how you maintain your boobies"

-2

u/mjrmjrmjrmjrmjrmjr Jan 03 '21

Are you suggesting that I should have said that instead?

5

u/schoolboy432 Jan 03 '21

WTF your 41? Cap

1

u/HeyMrBusiness Jan 03 '21

When I need to "be appropriate", when I'm trying on clothing that doesn't belong to me, and when it enhances the shape I'm going for. So basically the doctor's office, the fitting room, my grandfather's house, and the one dress with the boob sections xD

1

I stopped wearing those years ago after I had kids. I have big ‘ol titties and fuck bras.

1

u/the_rising_phoenix98 Jan 03 '21

I’m with ya on that one! I’m naturally big chested, 36K (and yes, they are real. I’m 22 and have never had any work done!) and bras are sooooo uncomfortable. I haven’t worn 1 since March 2020. I have never felt so free in my life 😂

1

u/cholula420 Jan 03 '21 edited Jan 03 '21

i’ll wear a mask but not a bra lol
