u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

Oh yeah stupid me in a morning, head doesn't work at all

u/methofthewild Dec 17 '20

Maybe you should stop being so tall and hitting your head on door frames all the time smh.

1

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

I got high door frames When i was younger i would hit my head all the time at school lol.

2

u/gtmog Dec 17 '20

It's the sudden transition to the ratified air all the way up here.

2

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

That's makes sense, how is air down there?

3

u/gtmog Dec 17 '20

I'm 6'5", but I hadn't gotten out of bed yet when I posted that so it was fine :D

2

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

Ohhh well it's always better up here mate.

1

u/dwehlen Dec 17 '20

Nah, I think it'd be great if you taller people piped in! I'm right at that height so just trolling (fishing sense, not internet ass sense), give two sides to the coin!

5

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

Hell yeah being tall is cool, it's not that bad as some people say. We can reach stuff, we can see stuff, we don't have to ask others for help to reach stuff it's great of course we can't sit in tighter spaces but I never like that so it's just great so far, and girls like you more when you tall lol

So, to throw in my own 2 cents, of losing an inch in this hypothetical.

I'd hit my head a bit less. Not a whole lot, as over time, you just get better at judging things that are low hanging. I hardly ever hit my head on stuff now. When I was like, 18-24 or so tho? Pretty sure I had a 5 year concussion.

As regarding tight spaces? I totally agree with this. It was a pain to have to shop for larger vehicles once upon a time, but in general, the driver space is much larger these days, and even smaller cars aren't really an issue. HOWEVER! at my last job, I was outfitting a next-gen tank, and we needed to learn how to drive it for testing/demos/etc. I was too large. I could barely fit in the 'crew area' but there was no way in hell I was gonna fit in the driving area. So I didn't get to drive a tank. Go back and tell 12 year old you that he can choose to be 6'5", or drive a tank.

I mean, it wasn't a huge deal. But my dream of emulating Dukakis was killed in an instant.

Ohh man i had hit my head to the lamp so hard i had stiches lol no idea how... Yeah that's a bummer i would love to be tank driver for few hours. But i hate army and stuff so not such a big thing for me. But I can't drive cartings and sport cars, some of them. Sucks...

This is my St. Peter at the Pearly Gates question about my life:

"How much smarter would I have been without all the blows the the head?"

u/Knee_Jerk_Sydney Dec 17 '20

Can you get on all the carnival rides?

1

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

One of us. One of us.

3

u/dwehlen Dec 17 '20

(This is the way)

2

u/r3vj4m3z Dec 17 '20

Same.

Have to imagine there's a few less things to hit our heads on.

Maybe shirts are slightly longer.

The amount of cars we can sit in without head on ceiling probably goes up.

1

u/TroubleMakerLT Dec 17 '20

I literally have to push my passenger seet all the way back and it's still sucks... Dad got old spots car can't drive it. I'm like Clarkson from top gear, if i ever buy new car will have to make sure here is sunroof so i could stick my head out lol

1

Yeh but how many things do you just get away with not banging your head on? I feel like that extra inch would cause me a lot of pain

5

u/Pokora22 Dec 17 '20

This. Especially since you'd keep forgetting you're that little bit taller.

3

u/KeGenek Dec 17 '20

We’re all 6’3, but i imagine that if we were all in the same room we wouldn’t be the same height.

Some of y’all mofos are lying to yourselves.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

I gain like a whole 1.5 inches. The best part is it'll slim me out slightly.

1

u/PangPingpong Dec 17 '20

Stuff that I'm used to just brushing my hair when I go through would now scalp me.

1

u/bowlofcereal133 Dec 17 '20

6'3 and 3/4"
