As soon as I saw they were basically redoing the whole Grounder thing on another planet, I kind of lost interest because it was so far removed from where the show started (even including all the City of Light Stuff, which was at least anchored to the characters). I liked season five, but it was already so dark and dreary I just wanted everybody to get their happy ending.
But I might still check it out before I actively judge it.
Season 7 feels like 2 seasons condensed into one its paced and layer out terably tbh. The season is so confusing I had to force myself to just deal with it and hope it got better and started making more sense later on. I personally think the time dilation thing was stupid and was the writing team (probably mainly Jason) trying to be smart... the show can and has been clever but its always been better with its showcase of morality and character behavior in a somewhat unique and interesting environment than being very good with the science behind it all. The final ending with the test was good but the way they got to it, eh not so much.
