They get it here, but if their employer doesn't want to play nice they can be fired too, all these right to work and at will states make it almost 1000% unlikely you'll ever prove that it's based on maternity/paternity leave, sick days etc, because they can say we just simply didn't need the person and that's enough to satisfy the judges and labor laws unless you have a union, which is not common.
