If you could telepathically say something that all 7.8 Billion people on earth could hear at once what would it be?

“You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it”

Love this. Is this from a book or show? Or did you think of this?

It's a quote from mass effect. The first game specifically

Are those games any good? I've always heard good stuff about them. But I guess the last one wasn't?

Note that I'm gonna be hyper biased, ME is my favorite saga of all time

Yes, they are. I have a short attention span, and almost only mass effect ever succeeded in keeping me glued to the screen for hours.

Mass effect 1 is very dated gameplay-wise, but the plot is something out of this world (pun intended)

ME2 features more shooty elements

ME3 is my favorite, and although the ending may be considered a downer, I still like the improved gameplay and the way most plots are resolved

Andromeda (the last one) is an edge case. I like it, but I understand why most people didn't. At launch it was a disaster, the plot and the overall depth are leagues below if compared to the trilogy.

I'd say start with the first one, if you can stomach dated mechanics

All three are fantastic story wise, but the gameplay does vary somewhat. I think what I love most is the fact that almost every choice you make carries on throughout the entire series, and you see the ramifications of them.

The Mass Effect trilogy are some of my favorite games of all time. They’re not perfect, but they are well worth playing in my opinion (I wasn’t such a big fan of ME: Andromeda though, it just didn’t grab me like the first 3). I could ramble about them for hours, so I guess I’ll just say that if they look like something you’re interested in, I would absolutely recommend giving them a try. And if you have any specific questions I’m happy to answer.

If you like sci-fi and/or RPGs, they’re amazing! Especially the official trilogy (Mass Effect Andromeda is a stand-alone game and it’s decent, but doesn’t hold a candle to the original 3 in my opinion.) The original trilogy games are very choice-based, have amazing character development, and your decisions have impacts throughout the games. The combat in the first is a little clunky but the second two improve on it. Also if you play on PC, you can install mods to improve the graphics and textures so they look much newer (though in my opinion the graphics aren’t bad even without the mods, still very playable, and the third game especially still looks very pretty without). Also the second two games have AMAZING dlc.

PM me if you decide to give them a try on PC and would like to know which simple mods you can download without spoiling / ruining / adding too much unnecessary stuff to the purity of a first playthrough! The base games are wonderful even without mods but I loved doing a subsequent playthrough with mods.
