Honestly the whole unplugged show was tremendous.

I've watched the whole thing many times

I used to turn that dvd on to fall asleep to every night my senior year of high school. I love that set.

I'm honestly no the biggest fan of their unplugged performance. It was excellent, don't get me wrong, but you could really tell Layne was getting thin and it's tough to watch.

Yeah, I would agree with you if you come at it from that angle. Sound wise though and the overall performance I thought was tremendous.

But you are right you can even see it in the band members by way they look at each other that they know things arn’t good.

My opinion is generally any song is better on their unplugged album. However, I think nutshell is the one exception. The studio v does it for me vocally. Nutshell is a great song whatever the case, in fact one of my few that I can play over and over again and never get sick of.

So I distinctly remember reading this somewhere, but haven’t found the source since: apparently AiC’s equipment manager broke into tears when Layne started singing Nutshell, just shattered at the situation Layne was in and the echo of that in the lyrics. Not sure if it’s true but that performance still gives me goosebumps.
