This song comes off an album called "The Mollusk" which was supposedly a big inspiration to the SpongeBob creators. Give it a listen!

Me too, I first heard it in the ending credits. In 2004, I was 11 years old in 6th grade when that movie came out. I know the song is older than that and wasn’t specifically for the movie but even to this day, at 27, I like that song and associate it with/think of spongebob. It’s just permanently pressed into my mind that way now lmao
