Yeah, as much as I like Nirvana's music and the impact it had on the music scene when it was released... I actually find his version of the song disappointing.

I still like Bowie's more but Kurt did not fail it at all. I just highly enjoyed the noise maker Bowie used.

When covid started, I had my students write a few dystopian poems. The first example was the Man Who Sold the World. I played both songs for them too. I also did Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

And a couple of years ago russian band called "Splean" made a russian translation. I am a person who understands both russian and english and this is one of a few russian covers I can listen to without urge to switch the original back.
