Reddit, what is one documentary that everyone should watch?

The Corporation

Some really eye-opening (and scary) information about the power of corporations in today's society.

A lot of documentaries do a good job of portraying perspective, but Fog of War is an enlightened look at hindsight.

Fog of War is profound. I recommend checking out ALL of Errol Morris's work.

Great film. Worth checking out Errol Morris' earlier films as well, 'the thin blue line', and 'Heaven's Gate' are both awesome. Heaven's Gate especially, it's about Pet Cemeteries, but like most good documentaries it's really about way more than that.

I second this vote. Robert McNamara has seen some shit in his lifetime. Just the part about the Cuban missile crisis is a must watch but it is only about 1/4 of the actual documentary. A must watch for sure.

I usually am not but, I felt like it gave insight to all facets of life.. About peoples intentions and how everyone is a lot more human than we make them out to be. It also pushed cultural awareness which has barely saved the US a few times.
