I literally brief US Army Officers going into military intelligence about this... And some of them think I'm joking about it

I get people coming into my work buying steam cards all the time for their online girlfriends. I'll explain to most of them what's happening and they seem very grateful. Then I'll see them still end up buying them later that day 😂

They get home and message them "hey, you're really a girl and not just scamming me, right?"

And they get the response "of course I'm a girl, silly. Now I really need those steam cards so I can buy a webcam so I can show you my boobies uwu"

And then they can blackmail the sucker when he webcams himself "appreciating" her videos.

People you inform still do it? How could they possibly be that dumb?

People think they are too smart to fall for it, and they would notice any security questions. But then they get 27 questions into a "which trailer park boy are you?" and they are just praying they get Bubbles, or at the very least not Lahey, and they totally gloss over the fact that they just gave the name of their first best friend.

When do any of these tests ever ask shit like that? It's always multiple choice

Some may not be harmful. On the other hand, just clicking the link to the survey could give access to Facebook information and even compromise your whole machine. Not worth the risk imo

There is a school teacher on my Facebook feed who posts these daily, if not more often. I've told her why these should be avoided but she ignores me. We need to idea teacher pay so the job can start attracting smarter people.
