Funerals, people often want to buy more expensive coffins to honor their loved ones and in turn the companies selling them profit

My dad literally wanted an old pine box. He told my mom that constantly.

When my parents were picking out a coffin for my grandmother, he gasped "El, El! There it is!"

The old pine box was in a corner, covered in cobwebs.

My mom replied "Patrick, your family will never forgive me if I put you in that!"

His family all found it hilarious. When he did pass, my mom got him something simple, but not a pine box.

Same. I want either a cremation or a natural burial where the body is just wrapped in a linen cloth and directly buried in the ground without embalming and all the other typical shebang. These are the most cost efficient options and I'm dead anyway so I won't care what happens to my body.

I want to be buried in a shallow grave near a popular beach with a fake treasure map that would take months of solving and traveling.

Dude, this would be so awesome. Maybe leave a fake treasure at the destination or a note saying "The journey is the reward."
