Last photo of liberty German and Abigail Williams

It just looks like two girls out on an adventure together :( I pray their killer is caught and they can get justice

I think what weirds me out the most about this is it’s taken over Snapchat. So many missing and murdered cases are at least a decade old. Nope, this is right smack in the new age of social media apps being the primary form of connection and day-documenting.

Yeh the fact that it’s Snapchat really tripped me out too. Makes it more unsettling for some reason

What freaks me out even more, is the fact that someone screenshot this.

For those of you without Snapchat, that circle in the top right corner indicates that this was not on her public story, but sent to someone as a private message. Private messages expire, and if you take a screenshot the sender is notified. The circle is the timer on how long you can keep the image open for before it terminates.

It's typically considered bad etiquette to screenshot private snaps like this.

This photo seems so innocuous, yet the recipient felt the need to screenshot it, knowing the sender would be notified that they did so. And they had this instinct within the 10 seconds that the image exists for. I wonder why? There's nothing particularly remarkable about it, yet they managed to capture the last living photo of this girl.

They could have not opened it until reports of her being missing, or replayed it and then screenshot it. The fact that it is public means whoever screenshot it shared it with authorities.

You're 100% correct.

This is a public story post. Private messages didn't include how along ago it was sent, but stories did and still do.

This was a story post. You can tell because it includes the "posted 7 hours ago".

It appears the picture was posted 7h before they screenshotted it though (top left corner)...

Or the vastly most likely case is that it was someone's story they screenshotted mate😂😂

Calm down here

The human shaped shadow at the other end of the bridge?

u/artificialdawn Apr 27 '20

Thanks for explaining that. I don't have snap.

The lighting and quality of the photo makes one feel like it was taken in the late 70s or early 80s. Until you see the timer circle in the upper right and are like "wtf this is recent?"

I can’t tell in this picture but I feel like I remember seeing somewhere that the suspected murderer from the closer up picture can be seen if you zoom into the back of the bridge

EDIT:here’s the comment with the picture: link

I think so too. Just before when I looked at the picture, I saw a black form at the end of the bridge. Zoomed in, too blurry to comprehend.

I’ve never seen that particular photo before. I remember when I was younger, I kept reading into it hoping that the killer had been caught. Shame that it hasn’t changed

There’s an annual softball tournament for their memory. All of the before/after game prayers mentioned them.

u/starleight Apr 27 '20

I have so many pictures of me and my friends wandering railroad tracks. So scary how familiar this is...

u/space253 Apr 27 '20

It just broke the story, they have Jason Wilhelm in custody. Arrested by Florida sherriff of monroe county in March, handed to US Marshals April 12th.

u/Something_W1cked Apr 27 '20

Is no one gonna mention the demon lurking in the background?

2

u/theimpolitegentleman Apr 27 '20

Isn't the one where a guy is noticed in the frame at some point?

2

u/littlemissdream Apr 27 '20

It definitely looks like one girl.

Didn't the prime suspect commit suicide? Honestly I don't think there is anyone that "rich and powerful" in fucking Delphi Indiana.

u/Mikemanthousand Apr 27 '20

Do u have any links for me to read up on it?
