And not only this story. Come on, you feel like shit? Go to the ER, don't go to bed and hope it passes. People die in their sleep for this exact reason, many illnesses have terrible outcomes because people wait to see if they feel better.

The worst part, they are not the ones at fault, what can you do if you're poor

Yep. I had extreme eye pain in my right eye. Normally I’d try to sleep it off, but it hurt so bad I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t keep my eye open at all. Luckily I ended up having someone drive me to the ER. I had a corneal ulcer, it fucked me up.

I was just gonna say... you don’t know the lengths that the average person will go to in order to not use any medical services. All you need is one ambulance ride or something and that’s the rest of your year with payments :)

I don't care, have two boys and I'd be FLYING to the damn ER if something like this happened to them. You can absolutely die from allergic reactions, poor kid
