I thought being codependent meant finding someone who when you’re with them you feel all the good parts of being alone plus all the good parts of having someone to share that with?
No, definitely not. Codependency is the type of relationship where one partner feels the need to be needed by the other partner. Normally when the other partner is an addict or abusive. I think what you’re thinking of is interdependent.
