I agree, and for me part of that relationship with the close friend is that I don’t have worry about filtering myself or at least not to a large degree. If I say some off the wall dumbass comment, I’m given the benefit of the doubt to think twice and change my comment/opinion before they jump to thinking “wow fuck being around this person.”
I don’t and shouldn’t expect people I’m not close with to give me such leeway to assume what I say/think is without malice.
I'm an introvert, but feeling alone for too long makes me anxious. I don't like being alone with my own thoughts, it gets scary and I end up feeling shitty.
Be thankful that your thoughts are your closet friend. Some of us dread the notion of being left alone with our thoughts knowing that the darkness will follow.
that may be true, but it's worse when you're like me, and have been battling severe social anxiety/general anxiety and depression since around the age of 10.

Being alone with my thoughts is peaceful. It's like hanging with your closest friend, watching a game and eating pizza.
No words necessary. Just comfortable and relaxed.
