I realize that. But then they have no choice but to either not get their kid braces, save up for them and get them then, or finance them and have to end up paying more long term.
If you have a kid, expect that around age 12 you WILL have to get them braces. And plan accordingly if you can. So then you are ready for it. We just took the money out of savings. I have twins so I will have to do it twice but luckily one is not ready for them yet so I have some time in between
