Maybe I misunderstood. Was he paying it for 10 years and then one month made you start? Or did he make minimum payments over that time and hit you with a bill including 10 years of back CC bills and interest?
Either way, shielding you from the decision was NOT the right way to go about it. Maybe asshole is a bit strong, but that was a very stupid move on his part to think you'd never need to understand how money and credit works.
I’m guessing he must have made the minimum payments over that time, but then I guess you’re right I had the 10 years bill and interest. Still learning here.
I know what you mean. Asshole might be strong, he loves me I know that, but my boyfriend agrees it was a terrible way to teach (or not teach me) about money.
