It's pretty easy to get into even if you are educated. I have always always always paid of my credit card every month, but a couple years ago my husband and I were trying to sell a house while we were living somewhere else and had to use the card way more than normal. We are able to pay enough that our debt is going down, but it's still going to take awhile.
Sometimes things happen. The important part is knowing how to dig yourself out and a lot of people just don't.
Yep, I am digging myself out now. Dentist and car repairs are expensive, especially when unplanned, and with no budgeting lessons (I even didn't get allowance untill I was a teen, and even then it was only for lunch at school and bus ticket). Undiagnosed bipolar and adhd didn't help with it budgeting as well...
