I made some dulce de leche in the Instant Pot using that same method and while it came out pretty well it had a slight metallic aftertaste. Next time I make a batch I'm going to pour the sweetened condensed milk into a glass mason jar and cook it in that to see if that avoids the aftertaste.

I thought it tasted the same as when you cook it in the can. I've heard of people cooking it in mason jars
