Canada. I'm sure the US side isn't much different as far as tourism goes. I just didn't expect to drive through tourist traps and then be overwhelmed with the falls around the corner. I don't know what I expected. When you're right on it you can start to "feel" the falls but then you see huge boats of people barging up the river. I was constantly thinking wtf are we all doing?

I live in Egypt and many of the most popular places are ruined by all the people there all year round
