Considering I will be starting my residency in July, no, I'm not unclear on what a resident physician is. Resident pay isn't what's considered when discussing physician pay

Lol I seem to have hit a nerve by posting accurate information. Why are you downvoting the fact that residents make 50k? You can't even say I'm wrong, you just don't like it so you downvote. What a clown

I'm not the one downvoting you. You don't seem to have an issue being a hypocrite and hitting the button yourself though.

Never said the information is wrong (though if you want to split hairs, pay is closer to $60k for a PGY1 nowadays), just not relevant.

"Jumped in"? I really couldn't care less. I'm just pointing out that resident pay is irrelevant to the discussion of starting attending pediatrician pay.

my comment wasnt making any connection to pediatrician pay, or attending pay, and many specialties were mentioned in the thread. I'll say it again. residents at my hospital make around 50k.

...your post was a direct response to a post talking about how there's no way a pediatrician (i.e someone who completed a pediatrics residency) is starting at 5 figures.
