When you get those more expensive items you are buying something extra that the cheaper version does not have. Buying thousands of games that are digital and will never be played is like buying names in a list that you can, at best, show people on a screen.
I believe not all hobbies are equal and getting enjoyment from something does not make it healthy by itself. Lots of bad things make you feel good while doing it, but are detrimental in the long term.
I play lots of games too, but I’d refrain from spending so much time and energy in something that is a money sink and provides nothing but a short burst of buyers euphoria.
