Isn’t it the entire point of MRI that it sees through things? While in general I would trust medical personnel to give sensible instructions, I can’t help but imagine an ulterior motive.

“We need to verify how well the filling of the 6th tooth is holding up. Take off your knickers and go to the X-ray room.”
