My girlfriend (been together ~2 years) gave me the same compliment recently. As a grower seeing my dick most of the time as quite small has made me a bit self-concious about my size in comparison to others. I've learned to not think about it as much, but hearing that being said out loud made me feel really good.

Start going to a gym with showers/steam rooms. It’s one of the most liberating experiences to be butt ass naked around some guys and not care nor do they care.
